Lead Sculpting
Here is a set of three articles I wrote on Progsounds.com about programming classic Progressive Metal keyboard lead sounds. Those articles covers Jens Johansson, Derek Sherinian and Jordan Rudess leads.

Ciao.

I really enjoyed your tutorial for Jordan Rudess’ Liquid T Lead but sadly cannot get it to work for a Korg X50. It’s my understanding that you can import Korg Triton .pcg files into the X50 but sadly I’ve had no success with your “Liquify” lead and was wondering if you could create one that would be compatible with the X50, I would be eternally grateful as would many others from the Korg forums. Thank you.
Hi Ben,
a Progsounds user managed to convert my Liquify patch to X-50/MicroX. You can find it here: http://www.progsounds.com/forum/f25/micro-x-liquify-t2366

Hi, I was looking for the Liquid T preset/sound over the internet and couldn’t find it, the only thing I found were the presets on progsounds that are meant for the kurzweil and I haven’t much clue in programming sounds, is there a preset for some VST of that sound? Or at least tell me if I can somehow program it myself with something like Massive (From Native Instruments).
Thanks
